About Us
MISSION
STATEMENT
Our
Purpose is to help our communities (Mason Valley and Smith Valley)
provide assistance in the funding of sterilization, immunization,
and in maintaining the general health and well being of companion
animals. Our goal is also the education the local population in
the areas of raising Healthy pets and maintaining their welfare for
a successful human/animal bond. Our society will also aid and encourage
the placement of abandoned and surrendered animals
at our local shelter.
YAPS was organized in the spring of 2002 and became a non-profit organization in December of that year. Since that time our 25 members have been busy raising funds for our various projects, which include funding, year around low cost spay/neuters for cats and dogs, a year round trap/neuter/release program for feral cats, supporting the local shelter, educational projects at local schools, and other animal related needs that come up during the year.
YAPS
is committed to the welfare of animals in Mason Valley and Smith
Valley. Our goal is to eventually make our communities areas of "No
More Homeless Pets." With everyone's help this can be done.
Please join us in this pursuit.
